Step 1: When to Go?

Orthodox Christians have a lot of services: Vigil (Vespers and Matins), Akathists, Molebens, Panakhidas, and Divine Liturgy; it can get a little confusing.

But if you’ve never visited an Orthodox Church the best time to attend is The Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning. The Liturgy is the beating heart of the life of the Church. An ancient practice, it gives a rhythm to life and a deep abiding reminder of the source of that life: Jesus Christ.

Also, after The Liturgy we have trapeza (a full meal and time for fellowship), which is a chance to get to know the parish and get some of your questions answered. This time also includes teaching for adults and children.

However, if Sunday morning is not ideal, we have the Divine Liturgy many times throughout the year, as well as other services where you can visit and experience the ancient faith.

Step 2: Where to Go?

We are located at 23300 West Chicago in Redford, MI (48239).

We are just East of Telegraph on West Chicago.

Our Church is a grey building with several large icons on the building.

Step 3: See You Soon!

We look forward to seeing you bright and early this Sunday morning!

Preparation for Holy Communion for Orthodox Christians

Orthodox Christians who are in communion with the Moscow Patriarchate are invited to receive Holy Communion if they are properly prepared and are not under any penance.  Amongst other things, proper preparation includes faithful fasting, recent confession (within one month), a blessing from one's spiritual father, being at peace with others, and being on time to the divine services.

If you are visiting and you are not an Orthodox Christian, please do not approach the chalice during the distribution of Holy Communion. If you are uncertain if you are blessed to approach the chalice, please do not come forward until you have met and spoken with Father Joshua.
