CLERGY LENTEN RETREAT WITH BISHOP MARK OF TOLEDO AT ST. INNOCENT CHURCH

On Friday, March 5, 2010, (the Friday prior to the Third Sunday of Great Lent— the Sunday of the Cross), the St. John Chrysostom Orthodox Clergy Brotherhood of Metro-Detroit, in conjunction with the Council of Orthodox Christian Churches (COCC), held a Lenten Retreat for Clergy at St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Redford, Michigan. COCC’S 2010 PAN-ORTHODOX SUNDAY EVENING LENTEN VESPERS

The Council of Orthodox Christian Churches (COCC) of Metro-Detroit, Michigan, continued its long-standing tradition of holding joint Lenten Vespers on Sunday evenings at various metro-Detroit churches on each of the five Sundays of Great Lent, 2010, with the COCC Pan-Orthodox Choir singing the responses, under the direction of Matushka Vickie Kopistiansky of Holy Trinity (OCA) Church, Detroit. As the President of the St. John Chrysostom Clergy Brotherhood, the Very Reverend Archpriest Roman Star, Pastor of St. Innocent (Moscow Patriarchate) Church in Redford and Dean of the Central States Deanery, presided at each service.
